Family Health

Family Medicine is comprehensive primary healthcare provided for individuals and families across all ages, genders, diseases and conditions. Care is provided on a continuing basis with an emphasis on disease prevention and health promotion. Your family doctor is an important part of helping manage your family’s health and wellbeing.

Women’s Health Care

Women’s healthcare may include but is not limited to regular cervical screening, breast checks, referral for mammography, family planning options, fertility counselling and management of menopause. Elderly Health

Our team is specialised in caring for mature aged patients with a well-balanced approach of professional care and experience in preventative care and general health plans.

We are also experienced in creating treatment plans for chronic illness and/or general care to keep you on track with your physical and mental health.

We love working with and caring for the elderly of our community with a strong focus on prevention with regular check-ups and general assessment of your mental health.

Skin Check

All our doctors can perform skin checks.


Skin checks are highyl recommended to detect skin cancers early so that treatment has a much higher success rate.

Health Assessments

Over 75’s
A comprehensive annual health check is recommended for all people aged over 75 to identify any health issues and optimise quality of life. 

Areas assessed may include but are not limited to lifestyle, mobility, medication, nutrition, exercise, safety in the home, care arrangements and support networks.
45-49 YO’s
A comprehensive health check is recommended for all people aged between 45-49 to identify any health issues and optimise quality of life. 

Areas assessed may include but are not limited to lifestyle, mobility, medication, nutrition, and exercise.

Workcover Consultations

Some occupations have increased risk of injury or illness, and doctors specialising in occupational medicine aim to ensure that high standards of health and safety at work are maintained.

Occupational medicine may include but is not limited to treatment, management and prevention of injuries, return to work planning, pre-employment medicals and WorkCover consultations.

Please advise staff at time of booking if you’re coming in for a Workcover consultation. Additional forms may need to be completed before appointment.

Mental Health

A holistic approach to healthcare is important including physical, social, spiritual and mental health. Mental healthcare may include but is not limited to medication management, regular counselling, referral to allied health providers as well as preparation and ongoing management of GP mental healthcare plans.

We provide an experienced, private and comfortable place to discuss your mental health with your local GP. Many patients are nervous or uncomfortable discussing their mental health. 

Your health, privacy and comfort on these matters are our number one priority and we treat our patient’s mental health in a serious and professional manner.

Chronic Disease & GP Managed Care Plans.

Comprehensive and individualised care plan can ensure that all aspects of chronic disease are managed including goals to achieve optimal health. 


Chronic conditions including diabetes, hypertension, osteoporosis, arthritis, chronic pain is amongst the most common conditions that can be supported with the help of a care plan. 


Some care plan patients are eligible for referral to allied health providers at a subsidised cost.

Motor Vehicle Assessments

Your safety and the safety of other road users are influenced by your fitness to drive.

Various health problems, medical conditions, injuries, disabilities and medications may affect our ability to drive. As we get older we may also notice a change in both physical and mental abilities that may affect our ability to drive.

Minor Procedures

Prema House Family Medical Centre is well equipped for minor procedures are conducted by our doctors and nurses. 

Procedures include but are not limited to ‘freezing therapy for sunspots and warts, mole removals, treatment of abscesses, ear wax removal, wound reviews, ECG, and Spirometry (lung test).
