Education

John is a local product of the Northern Rivers, originally from Murwillumbah, and currently resides here in Lismore. 

His initial university training in marine biology morphed into the study of medicine when he realised the conversation with marine parasites wasn’t as interesting as interacting with humans. 

Experience

Dr. McKiernan obtained his Medical Degree from the University of Queensland and has worked in hospitals (including the Lismore Base Womens Care Unit) and as a GP in QLD, NSW, Tasmania and the NT.
